Investigations continuing into newspaper theft from racks, routes

The continuing investigation into thefts of copies of State Gazette issues from racks, routes and homes delivered by independent contractors has paid off with several tips over the last week. City lets Web site domain name expire

Dyersburg's city Web site, cityofdyersburg.org, expired from the Internet's domain registration on March 10 before it was renewed on March 16. Though no one snatched the name while it was available for anyone to purchase, Internet Solutions spokesman Chris Andrejik said the city was "very lucky. Public divided on I-69 routes

Solid waste region doubles state's set goal for diversion

Dyer, Gibson and Crockett counties didn't just meet a state-mandated goal for diverting wastes from municipal landfills. They more than doubled it in 2005. Babysitter charged with kidnapping
