Area seniors rock in over $1,100 for local Red Cross

Man sentenced to jail, house arrest for assault, forgery

A Dyersburg man was sentenced to a jail and house-arrest term Tuesday in Dyer County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to aggravated assault and forgery charges. Judge Lee Moore warned Ricky Eugene Reed, 49, of 217 Broadway Ave., that he might, under federal law, be prohibited from ever again owning or possessing a firearm or ammunition because the woman who caused the charges to be filed was living with him at the time...
