Public hearing on spillway set

A group of citizens plans to hold a public hearing of its own on the proposal to build a new spillway and bridge at Reelfoot Lake. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at Acorn Point Lodge on Lake Drive near Samburg. Man charged with four burglaries pleads guilty

A Brownsville man charged with four burglaries of businesses in Dyersburg pleaded guilty in Dyer County Circuit Court Tuesday and was sentenced to jail and probation. Dwaylan D. House, 33, of 115 Teasdale St., pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one of evading arrest in a motor vehicle and was sentenced by Judge Lee Moore to serve 90 days in the Dyer County Jail and three years of supervised probation...
