Phillips sentenced to three years on probation

The former Tennessee Highway Patrol criminal investigator indicted for fraud in connection with an insurance claim submitted for a vehicle falsely reported stolen was sentenced in U.S. Federal Court in Memphis on Thursday. Paul E. Phillips III, a former Dyersburg Police officer and 2002 candidate for sheriff, was sentenced to three years probation and three months of house arrest.
