Man stopped speeding to aid injured son didn't know address

A man caught driving 75 mph on Forrest Street on Sunday told police he was speeding to aid his injured son, but upon questioning could not give police an address or telephone number to send an ambulance. Brent McNeely, 24, was clocked driving westbound in a 30-mph zone when police stopped him. According to the report, McNeely told police his son "had fallen and busted his mouth and his grandparents had told him to hurry up and get there."...

TWRA recommends altering turtle regulations at Reelfoot

Prison guard arrested for drugs

A prison guard at the Northwest Tennessee Correctional Complex was arrested in an undercover drug operation on Thursday in Dyersburg. Jeremy Evan Jones, 24, of the 700 block of Faubus Street in Tiptonville, was arrested without incident while exiting the Dyersburg Mall at 10 a.m., where an informant had sold him 20 hydrocodone pills.
