Disaster Recovery Service closes supply warehouse, but offer of help remains

The warehouse has been open since the first of May, making food, water, toiletry items, furniture and more available to survivors of the April 2 tornado. Board OKs new, tougher dog ordinance

Concrete thrown off overpass smashes windshield

A concrete cinder block thrown from a highway overpass north of Newbern crushed the front window of a tractor-trailer cab at 10:50 p.m. Sunday. The driver was not injured.
