Sheriff's Department unveils Wall of Honor to family, friends

Family and friends of six "people we loved" were remembered at the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center on Sunday, as Sheriff Jeff Holt led a staid tribute before unveiling the new Wall of Honor. Rezoning sought in annexation area

Killer's sister charged with attempted murder

An Evansville woman was charged with attempted murder on Friday after she tried to beat her sister to death. Gayla Lafay Winberry, 48, of 214 3rd St., was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Friday at the home after police were ready to break down the front door to respond to the screams inside, the police report said.
