Verb victors celebrate exercise with fun

Three groups of students received a special treat Friday: smoothies, a chance to play on an inflatable obstacle course and Olympic-style medals. The celebration was part of the Walk Across Tennessee Verb challenge. Students in grades 3-5 were asked to keep track of the amount of exercise they got each day for four weeks. DSCC opens LRC to students

Dyersburg State Community College opened its new Learning Resource Center to students on Monday before most of the books had even been placed on the shelves. A delusional man who asked police to kill him injured two Dyersburg Police officers on Saturday when they took him into custody, and bit a deputy sheriff after breaking the window out of a patrol car taking him for mental evaluation.
