DHS seniors awarded millions in scholarships

Members of the Dyersburg High School Class of 2007 were awarded $3,348,350 in scholarships at the school's annual Senior Scholarship Day on Tuesday, a total that does not include scholarships provided from Tennessee Lottery funds. "Over half of the senior class will receive a scholarship," DHS senior class counselor Paula Mahon told senior parents and members of the junior class present at the ceremony. Man's head pinned under four-wheeler after rolling from bank

A man was seriously injured Saturday in a four-wheeler accident near Tennemo. According to the Dyer County Sheriff's Department report, Billy Clark, 42, of 388 Rogers Rd., was found unconscious and bleeding from severe cuts over an eye after the four-wheeler he was driving flipped and pinned his head beneath the machine...
