Investigators seek help with two murder cases

Dyersburg police investigators walked for hours through neighborhoods in the mid-day heat on Wednesday passing out flyers for a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in the murders of two local men. The papers featured the $7,000 reward for the information and photographs of the men killed in Dyersburg in March and April. Date slated for Bekaert dispute over power bill

A trial date has been set for Bekaert's lawsuit against Dyersburg, Dyersburg Electric System and DES chief Jimmy Williamson over its utility bill. A federal judge on July 27 ordered a trial date after June 2008. Bekaert in May filed the civil action for relief from what the company calls "unreasonable and discriminatory" electric rates, and accuses DES of breaking a TVA contract...
