State seizes tavern for failure to pay sales tax

State revenue agents today began taking inventory this morning of the contents of Pearl's Place, 5520 Highway 211, after the property was seized for non-payment of sales taxes. Agents padlocked the doors of the tavern on Thursday morning. Teenager tried as adult gets suspended sentence to move

The 16-year-old tried in adult court for several thefts in Dyersburg over the last year was given a suspended sentence on Tuesday in order to move to New Mexico with relatives.
