Pair arrested for theft of 1,000 lbs. of copper

Dyersburg police on Thursday returned more than 300 pounds of copper wire to the Amteck supply company, 1106 E. Court St. from a 1,000-pound spool that had been stolen on Aug. 25. Joseph Ray Boldon, 39, 155 Vickie St., and Jeffery Lynn "Bodean" Moore, 35, 220 Hawthorne St., are lodged in the Dyer County Jail on burglary charges. The pair was arrested at a Hayti, Mo. hotel on Sept. 2 after they allegedly sold most of the copper to a Pemiscot County, Mo. scrap yard...
