A man who allegedly assaulted a hitchhiker and left him for dead on the roadside pleaded guilty to a reduced charge on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Eric Jakata Johnson, 37, 1829 Ayers St., pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. He was originally indicted in 2001 for especially aggravated robbery.
