Recreation committee seeks state advice on reorganizing parks dept.

The city's effort to consolidate programs offered through Dyersburg Parks and Recreation will not include closing any of the activity centers supported by the parks department. Two-state high-speed chase ends in Fulton County field

Charles Mims, 41, of Dyersburg, led law enforcement officials on a high-speed chase through Tennessee and Kentucky on Friday afternoon before wrecking his van, Fulton County (Ky.)
