Refuge expands with land purchase

One of Dyer County's pioneer families has sold several hundred acres of land on the Obion River to the state for wildlife benefit. Bob Kirk, Jere Kirk and sister Jane Kirk Chapman sold 769 acres for $3.15 million on Nov. 30, according to the deed filed Monday in the Dyer County Register of Deeds office.
