Investigators are trying to identify the suspects in an extortion threat against a RoEllen area family placed on Friday. According to the Dyer County Sheriff's Department report, a call was made to the residence of Dr. Charles Hughes, 1877 Viar Rd., at about 12:49 p.m. Friday. After watching both contests Tuesday night between Dyersburg and Dyer County, I came away from the games impressed to say the least with how the games played out. Anytime I can attend a game at either school and see a standing room only crowd, there is great reason to smile, and the final games of the regular season between the two schools on Tuesday were definitely worth the price of admission...
