Dyer County squads blow past Haywood County

After a successful trip to Lexington where both squads earned lopsided victories, Dyer County returned home to Newbern for their second Hall of Fame matchup against Haywood. Trojans end season with loss to Tigers

Despite the game-time temperature hovering around the 20-degree mark, things got heated up in a hurry when Dyersburg and Mitchell met in the third round of the TSSAA state playoffs Friday night at J.C. Sawyers Stadium. When the contest was over, so was Dyersburg's season as Mitchell earned a hard-fought, very exciting 41-35 win over the Trojans to advance to the semifinal round and a matchup against David Lipscomb next week in Nashville...
