Thursday, Nov. 20, was a special day for a bunch of old friends that shared a common thread. Thomas White, Bobby Summar, James T. Lee, Herschel Copeland, Billy Sorrell and Ken Alford were all newspaper delivery boys for the State Gazette ... over 50 years ago. This was the first time all of them had gotten together, in the same room, to reminisce about the good old days...

After a complete week off from action, the No. 2 state- ranked Dyer County Choctaws (29-1 ) traveled to Dyer to battle Milan in the semifinals of the District 13-AA tournament on Friday.
