Drug charge nets 10-year prison sentence

A 28-year-old Dyersburg man was sentenced to spend a decade in prison on a drug charge. Dontonio D. Tate of 1921 Pioneer pleaded guilty Feb. 3 in Dyer County Circuit Court to possessing more than half a gram of cocaine with intent to sell. He was fined $2,000 and sentenced to 10 years in prison. He is to serve that sentence consecutively to all prior sentences and/or parole revocations. Tate was furloughed to a drug rehabilitation facility for at least six months worth of treatment...
