Teen pleads to reduced charge in shooting

An 18-year-old Dyersburg man accused of shooting a man in the back has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Timothy Lee Rucker, 18, 1518 Wheeler, was indicted last fall on a charge of attempted first-degree premeditated murder. The charge was amended to aggravated assault Feb. 10 in Dyer County Circuit Court. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison. City moves ahead with search for police chief

Finance committee recommends refinancing of water, sewer bonds
