County to receive $356,000 to repave Upper Finley

The Dyer County Highway Department will receive $356,000 from the federal government to repave Upper Finley Road. County Road Superinten-dent Jeff Jones explained that the money usually is available only for adding sidewalks, flower boxes and other streetscape projects. Because of that, many counties had no access to the funds - until this year. A one-time exception is being made this year and counties will be allowed to use the money for hot-mix paving projects on selected roads...
