Port project awarded $13 million grant

The Northwest Tennessee Port Authority and industrial park located in Lake County received word on Friday they have been awarded $13 million for the completion of the Port of Cates Landing on the Mississippi River. When completed, the port is expected to bring 1,700 jobs to the region and retain 2,293 related jobs, according to an economic study performed by the Business and Economic Research Center at Middle Tennessee State University...
