The city of Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved to authorize Mayor John Holden to send written notice of the identified deficiencies at Dyersburg Municipal Airport to Dyersburg Air Service Inc. According to the motion entered by Alderman and Chairman of the Airport Committee Dennis Moody and seconded by Alderwoman Joan Wyatt, Dyersburg Air Service will have 30 days to correct the deficiencies in order to not be in breach of its contract or possibly face termination of the contract.. ...

Girl dies over weekend from injuries in Great River Road wreck

One of the children involved in Friday's wreck on Great River Road was pronounced dead on Saturday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. THP Sgt. Robert Moore said a 10-year-old female that was injured in the crash was pronounced dead by doctors on Saturday, July 31. The crash sent two other children and two adults to area hospitals. The crash is still being investigated by the THP and the condition of the other victims is not known at this time...
