On June 9, I left on a 12-day trip to Mongolia as part of my continuing graduate studies in the Global Field Program offered by Miami University and the Cincinnati Zoo. County zoning board hears proposal for telecommunications tower

The Dyer County Building and Zoning Board met on Tuesday afternoon to review a proposal for a new telecommunications tower on Perciful Road. Andrew McLemore and Tanya Cintron of Cleartalk Wireless proposed two locations for a new tower aimed to beef up cell service in the Lenox and Lakewood areas. Salvation Army burglarized; meat stolen would feed 500

An unknown number of perpetrators broke into the Salvation Army late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning and stole at least five cases of meat. Joy Moore, soup kitchen manager for the Salvation Army, located at 328 South Mill Ave., made the discovery when she arrived at 4:30 a.m. to begin cooking breakfast for the day...
