Chimes for Charity holds Christmas party for children

Heathcott honored at reception

State and area officials, friends, and family gathered at the Dyer County Election Commission on Thursday afternoon to wish retiring Election Administrator Jane Heathcott a fond farewell. Two suspects break into county bus shop

County jobless rate down for November

Dyer County's unemployment rate for November fell to 12.3 percent, down from 12.8 percent in October. According to the Tennessee Department of Labor, 2,130 Dyer Countians were unemployed out of a total work force of 17,230. County non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for November 2011, released Thursday, show that the rate decreased in 79 counties, increased in 12 counties, and four counties remained the same...
