State officials present check for Safe Routes to School Program

Officials from the state of Tennessee presented the city of Dyersburg with a check on Friday in the amount of $239,525 for the 'Safe Routes to School Program'. The project will construct sidewalks from the Milltown and Rolling Meadows neighborhoods to Dyersburg Middle School. Beth Bell from the UT extension office told the group on Friday that this is the first piece of the puzzle in creating a sidewalk path around the city.
