Trimble Independence Day Celebration

Trimble board meeting canceled due to lack of quorum

City water and sewer rate increase recommended

The city finance committee discussed the city of Dyersburg's three enterprise funds -- gas, water and sewer, and solid waste management -- at a called meeting on the morning of Thursday, June 28. The three funds are reviewed separate from the city's general fund and maintain their own fund balances. TWRA investigating slaughter of geese at The Farms

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency is investigating the alleged slaughter of geese at the Farms subdivision. The incident is said to have occurred on Friday afternoon at Pioneer Lake No. 5 off of St. Andrews Cove, located on the greens of the Dyersburg Country Club at the Farms. According to reports, two men used shotguns to shoot a number of geese as they were floating in the water. The geese were left dead or to die in the water.
