Judy Darlene Hooper, 54, of Finley, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a waitress and cook at J.P. Finley Elementary School introduces new principal

Students at Finley Elementary School were welcomed by a new face this academic year. Dr. Carolyn Tyler, an educator with the Dyer County School System since 2001, has taken the position of principal. Tyler completed her PhD in Special Education and Leadership in August 2011 and promised herself 'a summer of doing nothing'.
