Dyersburg woman wins $250,000 lottery prize

Patricia Davis was recently presented with a check from the Tennessee Lottery for $250,000. The Dyersburg resident, who works in a local super-store, won through the 'Play It Again!' drawing where non-winning tickets are placed in a weekly drawing. Players must register to 'Play It Again' and can do so at www.tnlottery.com or www.tnvipsuite.com. The State Gazette could not reach Davis for comment.

Felony child-abuse case headed to grand jury

Dyer County General Sessions Court Judge Jason Hudson remained unwaivered in reducing the bond amount of a couple accused of felony child-neglect charges and bound the case over to the grand jury.
