Arrest made in auto burglary at Dyersburg Primary School

Cody Copeland (front), 24, 1829 Countryman, and Lesley Wells, 25, 225 Pate St., are led out of Wells' residence by Dyersburg Police officers after being arrested on Monday morning. Copeland had a felony warrant out for his arrest for burglary of an auto, which reportedly occurred at Dyersburg Primary School. His warrant states he was captured on video surveillance entering a 2004 Ford Explorer and stealing a purse with various bank cards. Wells was arrested for felony harboring after refusing to answer the door when Dyersburg Police repeatedly knocked on it. Officers ultimately entered the residence and found the two together. Both were freed on $2,500 bonds.

Lake Road accident sends four to the hospital

An accident involving six cars sent four people to the hospital on Friday. Steven Gunter, 50, Halls, Tenn. is listed in critical condition at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis after he was involved in a head-on collision with Patty Glass, 24, of Dyersburg.
