On her 17th birthday, Dyer County's Sara Owen guided her team to its 17th victory of the season, a 17-point victory over the Lady Cardinals of Brighton High School 65-48. In case you're wondering, no she did not have 17 points to go along with the victory, but the Lady Choctaws starting point guard is probably happy with her 19-point, seven-assist performance from Friday night.
