Port authority changes roles

As work finishes up on constructing the Port of Cates Landing, the Northwest Tennessee Regional Port Authority is preparing for the work to come -- the work of overseeing a busy port on the Mississippi River. NWTRPA Chairman Jimmy Williamson said he expects work on the port itself to be wrapped by the end of March, with the paperwork completed by September. Kiwanis donates $30,000 to McIver's Grant Public Library

The Dyersburg Kiwanis Club fulfilled its $50,000 pledge to McIver's Grant Public Library with a check presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 20. As the library began its capital campaign to construct a new facility, Kiwanis Club members made a commitment to donate $50,000 over 10 years to aid the library.
