Dyersburg Mayor John Holden and Dyer County Mayor Richard Hill are joined by Relay for Life supporters as they officially proclaim April 12-27, 2013 as 'Paint the Town Purple Days in Dyersburg and Dyer County'. The proclamation was signed at Relay's Paint the Town Purple Kickoff last week. The proclamation is in support of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Dyer County event to be held April 26 in downtown Dyersburg. The event was sponsored by Sherwin-Williams. City board approves purchase of DPD vehicles

On the eve of city budget hearings commencing, the Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen held a brief board meeting to approve two bids for the Dyersburg Police Department as well as the city attorney invoice.
