Boy Scout Troop 386 collecting old flags for Flag Retirement Ceremony

Ridgely man wins College Basketball Bracket Challenge

Congratulations to Dennis Richardson (right) of Ridgely, Tenn. for being the overall winner in the State Gazette's College Basketball Bracket Challenge online contest. Here, Joe Yates (left), owner of General Appliance and Furniture Co., presents Richardson with a 32-inch flat-screen television for being the grand-prize winner. City, county schools differ on end-of-year schedule

Local students will see some differences in the days leading into summer vacation depending on which school system they attend. The calendars of the two school systems differ on a few dates near the end of the semester.
