DHS grad succumbs to cancer; benefit event to aid family

A benefit for Jeremy Maze scheduled this weekend will still be held at Okeena Park from 2-7 p.m., on Saturday, May 18. The benefit was organized to help with expenses for Maze, a member of the Dyersburg High School Class of 2010 who was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in the fall of 2011. Police arrest armed robbery suspect

DPD investigating multiple weekend shootings

Dyersburg Police are investigating five separate shooting incidents over the weekend that left two injured. On Saturday morning, May 11,at approximately 2:46 a.m., police were first called to the American Legion, 1305 Grant St., in reference to shots fired. Officers arrived and discovered several vehicles leaving the area and found shell casings on the ground. Officers were told that a black male shot a handgun several times in front of the club; no injuries were reported...
