Lewis C. Finley, 83, of Denton, Texas, died on Wednesday, May 22. Born in October 16, 1929, in Finley, Tennessee, he was preceded in death by his parents Ernest C. and Lorene Jackson Finley and a granddaughter, Madeleine Mae Finley. BCM hosts Rollin' on the River Car Show this Saturday

The Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Dyersburg State Community College will host its annual Rollin' on the River Car Show on Saturday, June 1. Registration starts at 8 a.m., with judging beginning at 10 a.m. and awards presented at noon. The event will be held in front of the DSCC Student Center and BCM. Business Expo draws hundreds

The Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce played host to over 50 local and area businesses during Thursday's 2013 Business Expo. The event showcased local businesses and organizations, ranging from higher education to health services. Hundreds of local residents attended the event to network and gain information about the services each business offered. At the end of the evening, drawings were held for door prizes from each vendor.

Join State Gazette Editor Jason Cannon (right) on Thursday evening as he interviews wrestling legend 'Superstar' Bill Dundee on WLJT's 'Newsmakers' program. The half-hour segment airs on WLJT Ch. 11 on Thursday, May 30, at 8:30 p.m. Dundee tells about how he made it from Australia to the United States and ultimately to Memphis where he became one of the most popular wrestlers of the era. He also discusses his book 'If You Don't Want the Answer, Don't Ask the Question: Bill Dundee's Life Story'. The program will be broadcast again on Sunday, June 2, at 3 p.m. on WLJT Ch. 11.
