The Newbern Board of Mayor and Aldermen made short work of a called meeting on Thursday afternoon, approving the second reading of its budget ordinances, the second reading of a speed ordinance for Highway 77 and the attorney invoice. Trimble holds Independence Day Celebration

Hundreds of parade-goers lined the streets of Trimble, Tenn. to enjoy Saturday's Trimble Annual Independence Day Celebration. A parade full of local residents and elected officials drew people in from across the area to celebrate out nation's independence. The center of entertainment was the town square where there was entertainment, games, food, a cakewalk, and a host of other activities for the children. The evening concluded with a fireworks display that lit up the evening sky.
