Car runs into county clerk's office
(Local News ~ 04/03/14)
The front of the Dyer County Clerk's office in downtown Dyersburg was partially damaged when the driver of a vehicle accidentally drove into the front of it. Dyer County Clerk Diane Moore said shortly after noon on Tuesday, a person accidentally drove a vehicle into the front of the building. Moore says no one was injured, but there were several people near the front where the vehicle hit. 'Thankfully, everybody was OK,' said Moore. She says a large column in the front is what kept the vehicle from fully coming into the office. Besides a dent to the column's facade, the glass to one of the doors was broken and had to be replaced.
