Mrs. Mildred Brown, age 94 of Mayfield, Ky. passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 5:20 PM at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was retired from the Merit Clothing Co. Mrs. Brown is survived by her two daughters - Wilma Ann (James) Potts of Mayfield, Ky., and Donna Carroll (Terry) Glover of Dyersburg, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Elaine Thomas, Chris Glover, Eddie Thomas, Sheri Lyons, Vicki Hamilton, Randy Potts, Ryan Potts, and Robin Higdon; 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.. ...

$100,000 mobile data proposal OK'd for Dyersburg Fire Dept.

Members of the Dyer County E911 board heard final numbers for the proposed mobile data terminals for the Dyersburg Fire Dept. During the regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening, Fire Chief Tim Ware presented a budget proposal for $102,473.40 which includes the installation of eight mobile data terminals, hardware, software and upgrades. ...
