Celebrating the 4th with fireworks

Residents packed the parking lots of the baseball park as well as lined Community Park Road, Hurricane Hill and Millsfield Highway to get the best view of the Fourth of July fireworks held at the Fairgrounds. Several thousand spectators were on hand to witness the show provided by the city of Dyersburg. The fireworks display was led by Gerald Ketchum and his team of pyrotechnists, who presented a 30-minute firework show for area residents to enjoy. Ketchum's team is one of two pyrotechnic teams in the state that still light their fireworks by hand.
