Brother enlists sister into Tennessee Army National Guard

Ashley Cole of Dyersburg recently enlisted into the Tennessee Army National Guard as a military policeman and will attend training at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. This enlistment is unique because Ashley's brother, WO1 Rogers who is part of the Guard as a warrant officer in the Jackson aviation unit was able to conduct the swear-in ceremony and enlist his own sister. The National Guard is full of members that are related but this is a rare occasion that a brother has the opportunity to conduct the ceremony.

City schools release back-to-school, registration schedules

Dyersburg RN receives further discipline by state

A Dyersburg nurse previously disciplined by the Tennessee Board of Nursing has had her licensed revoked. The Tennessee Department of Health's Monthly Disciplinary Action Report -- released on Thursday, July 17 -- states that the license of Heather L. Ashe of Dyersburg will "continue on revocation with suspension, as a secondary action, for failure to pay child support."...

Dr. Alvin C. Rose, 69, passed away on July 15, 2014, at Christian Care of Cheatham County in Ashland City, TN. He was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Alvin C. and Hattie Frances Hendren Rose. Dr. Rose was an educator for the Cheatham County Schools for 41 years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and secondary supervisor; minister of three churches: Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ, Cheap Hill Church of Christ and Ashland City Church of Christ.
