Olive Branch Men's Shop holds ribbon cutting

On Aug. 14 the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly opened menswear store in Dyersburg, The Olive Branch Men's Shop. The ceremony was held at the store which is located at 470 Mall Blvd. in Suite C. Store owner Shannon Shoulders, Chamber staff, and diplomats all gathered to celebrate the opening of the new store.

Choctaws fall to Mustangs 42-20

The Dyer County Choctaws dropped their third game of the season to the McCracken County Mustangs, 42-20. DCHS had a 14-13 lead at halftime, but the Mustangs poured it on in the second half. The Choctaws basically dominated the game for the first three quarters of the game, but wore down late in the game and the Mustangs took full advantage of it...

Breast Cancer Awareness Ride for a Cure set for Oct. 18

For the eighth year in a row Ms. Jeannie's Ride for a Cure will be held honoring breast cancer survivor Jeannie Littlejohn. The event will take place Oct. 18. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the ride will leave the Dyer County Fairgrounds at 11:15 a.m. The ride will conclude at 12:30 p.m. with food for everyone...
