Ora Mae Champion Cagle, 83 of Paris, Tennessee, formerly of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Henry County Health Care in Paris, Tennessee. Born Wednesday, September 2, 1931 in Lafayette County, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Champion and the late Myrtle Johnson Champion Butler. Mrs. Cagle was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Paris, Tennessee, retired sitter and volunteered for the Northwest Economic Development for over thirty-six years...

Trimble Area Women's Club Yard of the Month

The lovely home of Del and Bettie Toro at 209 Mitchell St. in Trimble was selected by the Dyer County Master Gardeners as the Trimble Area Women's Club September 'Yard of the Month'. Lush beds across the entire front of the house are anchored by hollies, burning bush, azaleas, hosta, sun coleus, variegated monkey grass, colorful vincas, and a beautiful touch-me-not given to Bettie by her mother. The comfortably furnished porch features a wicker swing and a number of potted plants, the showiest of which is a lovely pink mandevilla.
