Newbern Depot Museum open Thursday, Saturday

The Newbern Depot Museum will be open with Christmas decorations, a Lionel and HO scale size Thomas the Tank Engine, plus other model trains and more, this Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. (unless the Newbern Christmas parade is canceled). The museum will be open this coming Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. (regular monthly opening time). There will also be a special Christmas event on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1-4 p.m., with Santa there from 2-4 p.m., live music from 2-3 p.m. by the Newbern Community Church, a walking snowman, refreshments and more. Admission is always free, but donations are expected. The depot museum does have a Facebook page for last-minute openings and/or cancellations at Newbern Depot Museum/Events Page.
