DHS student receives surprise honor to attend Washington summit

For most high school students a chance to participate in life-changing experiences rarely happens, but when they do they will be remembered for the rest of their lifetime. No injuries in house fire

At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the Dyersburg Fire Department responded to a house fire located at 813 Wheeler St., Dyersburg. A neighbor reported seeing flames from the back of the house and smoke billowing from all gables. Fourteen firemen, dispatched from all three DFD stations, responded to the fire. All persons were evacuated from the house prior to the arrival of the DFD, with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation...
