Local wrestling fans, like Ken Miller (right), got the opportunity to meet former two-time world tag-team champion and wrestling legend 'Beautiful' Bobby Eaton (left) during a meet and greet at Hastings in Dyersburg on Saturday. Eaton was also scheduled to appear at the NWA Mid-South Event on Saturday night.

Dyer County's basketball teams celebrated homecoming and aided their standings in 13AAA by sweeping a pair of games from visiting Brighton on Friday night at Dyer County High School. Black Star Beauty Supply holds ribbon cutting

On Wednesday, the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Black Star Beauty Supply. The incoming chairman of the Board, Danny Watson, Chamber Diplomats, friends and family all joined owner, Thaddaeus Medford, for the ceremony at the new store. Medford has been cutting hair in Dyersburg since 2006 as the owner and operator of Mr. Kutz Barbershop. Black Star Beauty Supply is located at 620 Mall Blvd. in Dyersburg.

Life Choices hosts open house at new location

Life Choices staff and board members welcomed guests to their new location, 595 E Tickle St., Dyersburg, on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. Guests were treated to a tour of the new facility and refreshments. The district schedule for Dyersburg High School is in full swing as, thanks to playing in a six-team 13AA, all the games remaining on the Trojan and Lady Trojan schedule have meaning and are very important in setting up the future for these teams this season...
