Bounce With Us ribbon cutting

The Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 15 at 4 p.m. at the indoor jump and party center, Bounce With Us. Owners, Steven and Lory Crumley were joined by City Mayor John Holden and Chamber diplomats that afternoon to cut the ribbon in honor of their new business and Chamber membership. Bounce With Us is located at 1478 Highway 51 Bypass E in Suite B.

Hillshire donates to YMCA

Hillshire Brands recently made a $1,500 donation to the YMCA's 2015 Youth Sports Sponsor Recognition Program. Stan Welch, Hillshire Brands plant manager, is shown presenting the check to Patrick Holden, YMCA senior program director. Hillshire Brands was also a contributor to the Y's 2014 Youth Sports Program that had over 1,000 boys and girls participate in spring and fall soccer, flag football, tackle football, cheer, volleyball, and the 3rd Annual Northwest Tennessee Football Championships. DHS team presents $500 to Community Cancer Fund

DHS Lady Trojan standout Myah Taylor recently presented Community Cancer Fund Director Debbie Harris with a check for $500. The proceeds were raised during the Hooping for a Cure cancer awareness event held at Dyersburg High School. 'I am so glad coach Coffman is teaching his team that leadership is not only important on the court but also in their community. I also appreciate that they wanted to donate the funds to the Community Cancer Fund to benefit Dyer County cancer patients,' said Harris.
