Chick-fil-A donates to YMCA

Chick-fil-A of Dyersburg recently donated $1,500 to the YMCA's 2015 Youth Sports Sponsor Program. With the generous donation, Chick-fil-A will proudly sponsor six YMCA youth sports teams during 2015. Patrick Holden of the YMCA accepted the check from Chick-fil-A operator Heather Adams. Heather's family, Lance and Marissa Adams, and the Chick-fil-A cow were also on hand for the check presentation. Dyer County Schools to be closed Monday

Due to flooding and inclement weather conditions, all Dyer County Schools will be closed on Monday, Feb. 23. "We have had some serious flooding in our schools. The water in the gutters froze, leaving the rainwater nowhere else to go. We are also closing due to the road conditions on our rural bus routes," said Dr. Dwight Hedge, superintendent of the Dyer County School System.
