Mission provides shelter from storm

Gadlage and Justin Schroeder are volunteers with the Seekers Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church, Dyersburg. Pictured in front is Phil Huston. Huston is one of three men who sought shelter at the Union Mission during winter storm Thor on Wednesday, March 4. A staff member saw Huston and brought him to the mission for shelter during the storm. The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department worked together to transport one man from Halls, Tenn. A third man walked to the shelter. Several members of the Seekers Class and Sojourners Class of FUMC Dyersburg have supported the mission through providing meals for those at the shelter.
