Security Bank donates to YMCA

Security Bank recently donated $1,040 to the YMCA's 2015 Youth Sports Sponsor Program. With the donation, Security Bank will sponsor four YMCA youth sports teams during 2015. Patrick Holden accepted the check on behalf of the YMCA. Security Bank representatives on hand for the check presentation were: front row (L-R) Megan Brock, Jared Agee, Jennifer Nunley; back row (L-R) John Young and David Hayes. Davis Wealth Services donates to Mission Blitz

Representatives from Davis Wealth Services present a check in the amount of $3,865 to Mission Blitz co-chairs Kevin Griffith and Rachel Craig. The money was raised from a silent auction held at Davis Wealth Services' annual spring event. Auction items were donated by local business and sponsors. So, in less than a week we have gone from the snowy, Hoth-like weather that dominated the end of the prep basketball season to a climate that looks more like the cloners' homeworld of Kamino from "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones." While that reference may be lost on some of you (and feel free to google that if you want to learn more about science fiction astronomy), we will all agree that this has been one wet and soggy first week to the spring season for our high school sports teams...

Mississippi River landowners workshop slated for March 26
